BOApod - The Safe Hydraulic Hose Repair Solution
Our mobile hydraulic repair solution - The BOApod is built with safety in mind. Knowing that machinery operators are a large part of New Zealand's industry and experience risk every day when operating heavy machinery, we made sure that this new technology is safe and easy to use.
New Zealand’s Primary industries are the lifeblood of the New Zealand economy however this comes with varying degrees of risk.
Mobile Hydraulic Repair Solution - The BOApod
At BOA Hydraulics, we understand those concerns and so when it came to designing and building our Integrated Solution for hydraulic hose repair and maintenance safety was at the top of the list.
BOA’s integrated solutions include the following key components that combine the right products with a safe setup:
- World-renowned superior Yokohama hoses and fittings
- An innovative & ergonomically designed facility, the BOApod
- Superior onboard equipment with inbuilt safety features and clear instruction manuals
- Onsite training on how to correctly use the BOApod’s key features to assemble hydraulic hoses, along with post-setup sales and support.
Safety with superior Yokohama hose testing standards
Yokohama hoses are made to ISO 18752 specifications and are tested using the rigorous Hitachi and Komatsu spike testing method. This method simulates the hammering condition of heavy machines. This method uses at 1.2 million impulses, a higher-pressure cycle than typical SAE testing of 400,000-500,000 impulses.
For operators working with high-pressure hoses in high-pressure environments, proven quality is critical to workplace safety.
The Yokohama testing method develops hoses that deliver the following benefits to operators:
- Half the bend radius of the conventional spiral hoses type SAE for greater flexibility and ease of use
- Smaller OD to fit more hoses in tight quarters, or jump up a hose size for better flow
- Superior performance and service life
- Constant pressure performance across all sizes
- High abrasion resistance for long, dependable service life in rigorous installations
- Lighter Weight Hoses: This weighs 25% less than conventional spiral hoses, so are easier to handle and install.
Safety inbuilt into the BOApod: mobile repair and maintenance facility for hydraulic hoses
Our unique solution for hydraulic hose repair and maintenance, the BOApod, is purpose-built for the onsite, safe and efficient assembly of hydraulic hoses. Its trailblazing design and build boast the following safety design features:
